    Automatic AI translation

Let MenuKlik translate your items, categories, and promotions automatically — how the monthly quota works, bulk translation actions, and keeping translations fresh.

    Updated Jul 16, 2026

This feature is available on the Pro and Business plans.

    Business
    Compare plans

On Pro and Business, MenuKlik translates your menu automatically: save an item, and its translations are filled in for every enabled language — within a monthly quota of 1,000 (Pro) or 6,000 (Business) item translations.

    How automatic translation works

When you save an item, category, or promotion, MenuKlik generates translations for your enabled languages automatically. You'll see them in place immediately in your dashboard, ready to fine-tune. Every automatic translation is editable — the AI gives you a strong first draft, and you keep the final word.

    Your monthly quota

    • Pro — 1,000 automatic item translations per month
    • Business — 6,000 per month
    • Free — single-language, so automatic translation doesn't apply

Manual translation is unlimited on every plan and never draws from the quota. If a month's quota runs out, automatic translation resumes when the quota resets; you can keep translating by hand meanwhile.

    Note

One item translated into one language counts as one translation. Translating 50 items into 2 extra languages uses 100 of the quota.

Bulk actions on the Languages page

The Languages page gives you menu-wide tools per language:

    • Translate new — fill in anything not yet translated.
    • Update changed — re-translate items whose original text changed since their translation.
    • Retranslate all — regenerate every translation for the language from scratch.

    Keeping translations fresh

Each language shows a per-item status — up-to-date, new, or changed. When you edit an item's original text, its translations are flagged as changed so you (or the Update changed action) can bring them back in sync. Outdated translations never linger unnoticed.

    Tip

A practical workflow: write your menu in your default language, run Translate new once per language, then hand-polish just your best sellers — the dishes guests actually read closely.

    Troubleshooting

    • The ✨ translate action isn't doing anything. Check your plan (Free has no automatic translation) and whether this month's quota is used up — manual translation still works either way.
    • A translation reads oddly. Edit it by hand — your edit sticks. Dish names with wordplay or local slang are exactly where a human touch beats the AI.
    • I edited an item and the other languages still show the old text. That's the staleness flag doing its job — run Update changed in the Languages page, or edit those translations directly.
