    The waiter screen

    A live, password-protected board of waiter calls your staff opens in any browser — no accounts, no app, no extra devices to buy.

    The waiter screen is a live board of open waiter calls, updated automatically. It's part of the Business plan's table features: guests tap Call Waiter from a table QR code, and the call appears here with the table's name.

    Open the waiter screen

    1. Open Tables in the sidebar. The waiter screen's address — app.menuklik.co/waiter/your-code — and its password are shown there.
    2. On the phone or tablet your staff will use, open that address in any browser.
    3. Enter the waiter password. That's it — the board is live.

    No MenuKlik account, no app install, no dedicated hardware. Any device with a browser works.

    Tip

    Bookmark the waiter screen on your service devices (or add it to the home screen) so staff open it in one tap at the start of every shift.

    During service

    • New calls appear automatically within a few seconds, labeled with the table's name.
    • Staff clear a call once it's handled. Until cleared, repeat taps from the same table don't create duplicates.
    • Calls that are never cleared expire on their own, so the board doesn't fill up with stale entries.

    Any number of devices can show the board at the same time — a tablet at the pass and a phone in a waiter's pocket both work.

    Manage the password

    The waiter password is generated for you and lives on the Tables page:

    • Share it only with current staff.
    • Regenerate it whenever someone leaves or you suspect it leaked. The old password stops working immediately; devices already signed in will need the new one.

    Warning

    The waiter screen shows live activity from your restaurant. Treat its password like a key: rotate it when the team changes, and don't post it anywhere guests can see.

    Troubleshooting

    • The board asks for a password nobody remembers. Read it from the Tables page — or regenerate it and hand out the new one.
    • Calls aren't appearing. Confirm the guest scanned a table code (not your main Dashboard QR — that one has no Call Waiter button), the table is enabled in Tables, and the device is online.
    • The board went blank mid-shift. Refresh the page once; if the device slept for a long time the session may need the password again.
