    Why isn't my menu updating?

MenuKlik has no publish button — every change goes live automatically within about 2 minutes. Here's how updates work and what to check when one seems stuck.

    Updated Jul 15, 2026

Everything you save on MenuKlik goes live automatically — there is no publish button, no draft mode, and no step you can forget. If a change isn't showing yet, it's almost always the menu's short cache: wait about 2 minutes and refresh.

    How updates reach your guests

When you save a change — an item, a price, a category, your design, profile details, languages — it's stored immediately. The public menu keeps a short-lived copy (a cache) so it opens fast for guests; that copy refreshes itself within about 2 minutes, and your change appears everywhere: the browser link, the QR code, every language.

What to check when a change isn't showing

Work down this list — one of these explains nearly every "stuck" update:

    1. Give it 2 minutes, then refresh. Pull down to refresh on a phone, or press reload in the browser. This resolves most cases.
    2. Check the item's Available switch. An item switched to Unavailable is hidden from guests entirely — flip it back on in the Menu page.
    3. Check which language you're viewing. If you edited the original text but are viewing the menu in another language, that language's translation may still show the older wording until it's re-translated in Languages.
    4. Make sure the save succeeded. Reopen the item in your dashboard — if your edit isn't there, the save didn't go through (a connection drop can do this). Save again.
    5. Try a private/incognito window. If the change shows there, the phone was showing its own cached copy; it will catch up on the next refresh.

    There is no draft mode

Some menu tools make you edit a draft and publish it later. MenuKlik doesn't: what you see in your dashboard is what guests get, automatically. Two habits follow from that:

    • Safe to edit anytime — small fixes (a price, a typo, marking a dish unavailable) are live in about 2 minutes, even mid-service.
    • Big rework is better done at quiet hours. If you're restructuring the whole menu, do it outside service time, or temporarily switch items to Unavailable while you work on them.

    Note

Your menu preview and your live menu are the same thing. Opening your menu link from the Dashboard page always shows exactly what guests see right now.
